MAE SOT, Thailand — The Steering Committee for the Emergence of a Federal Democratic Union (SCEF) and the Spring Revolution Alliance (SRA) have formally established a set of joint political roadmaps following high-level consultative talks, according to an official statement released on Saturday evening.
The bilateral meeting, convened on 20 July 2026, brought together key leaders from both revolutionary coalitions to coordinate political strategies and refine frontline operational frameworks amid evolving geopolitical and battlefield realities.
Khoo Oo Reh, Rotating Chairman of SCEF, delivered the opening remarks, calling for open dialogue and institutional alignment among key resistance stakeholders.
The session concluded with closing addresses delivered by Duwa Lashi La, Acting President of the National Unity Government (NUG) and member of SCEF’s Strategic and Policy Steering Committee, alongside Ko Saung Kha representing the Spring Revolution Alliance.
This bilateral engagement follows a high-profile summit held on 17 July, where SCEF officials met with administrative and legislative representatives from the Sagaing Federal Unit, Magway Federal Unit, and Mandalay Region to synchronize governance structures and political roadmaps across Central Myanmar.
SCEF serves as a premier strategic coalition uniting major Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)—including the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO), Karen National Union (KNU), Chin National Front (CNF), and Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP)—alongside civilian democratic bodies such as the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government.
The integration of the Spring Revolution Alliance into these high-level political dialogues marks a significant step toward unifying military and civil resistance vectors across Myanmar’s anti-coup movement.
