YANGON — Members of the Karen community across the globe are marking their 2,765th National New Year today, with major celebrations taking place at the National Races Village in Myanmar’s commercial capital, Yangon.
The event, held on 19 December, drew large crowds of observers and participants as they gathered to honour one of the most significant dates in the Karen calendar.
